Description:
1. As an analytical reagent and oxidizing agent, and also for the synthesis of potassium salts and the preparation of explosives.
2. In the food industry, it is used as a color developer, color protector, antimicrobial agent, and preservative, such as in cured meat and as a preservative in luncheon meat.
3. Raw material for the manufacture of black gunpowder, such as mine gunpowder, fuse, firecrackers, etc. It is also used in fireworks to produce purple sparks. In mechanical heat treatment, it is used as a salt bath for quenching.
